What We’re Building

Software is in the process of transforming the world, but demand for programmers continues to outstrip supply. Coding today is very repetitive, and we see an opportunity to apply machine learning to eliminate the repetition and increase developer productivity. First, we created single-word completions sorted by popularity.

Today, Kite can complete entire lines of code as you type, all through secure cloudless processing! In the long term, we think Kite will write most of the code for you, allowing programmers to focus on high-level decisions like data representation and abstraction design.

Who We Are

We’re a team of talented developers and data scientists working together to change programming forever. We’re motivated by a deep belief in our problem space — eliminating the repetitive parts of writing code — and are excited to build a product that we use ourselves.

Backed by Trinity Ventures and the founders of Dropbox, PayPal, and Twitch, Kite has raised $17 million to build the future of programming.

Come along for the adventure and grow with us!
